Best Yoga Retreats in Arambol, Goa: An Honest List
Quick answer
Arambol in North Goa has several small yoga retreat providers within walking distance of the beach. Alpesh Yoga runs a 5 Day Alignment Yoga Course ($150, or $250 with stay), a 9 Day Alignment Yoga Intensive ($350, or $450), a 5 Day Yoga & Meditation Immersion ($250, or $350) and a 50 Hour Intensive (price on request), a one-minute walk from the beach, in small groups. Other Arambol options, in alphabetical order: AYM Yoga School, Divinepath Yoga School & Retreat, Nath Yoga Ashram and Tattvam Retreat.
Disclosure: Alpesh Yoga is our own school, so we list it first and describe it from our own course catalogue. Everything we say about the other schools comes from each school’s own website, which we opened on 8 November 2026. Their prices are approximate, may change and are quoted only where the school publishes them. We have not visited or reviewed their classes, and nothing here is a ranking. Check details with each school before you book.

How did we choose the retreats on this list?
We included Arambol yoga retreat providers whose own websites we could open and read, and that place themselves in Arambol. We left out schools we could find only on booking sites and review aggregators, because we will not repeat facts a school has not published itself. The other schools are listed in alphabetical order, not in order of preference.
For each one we noted what an answer to “which retreat should I book?” actually needs: how long the retreat runs, what the school says is included, how close it is to the beach, whether it says anything about group size, and the price if it publishes one.
1. Alpesh Yoga: alignment courses and short retreats
Alpesh Yoga was founded in 2014 and is registered with Yoga Alliance. Our shala is in Madhlo Waddo, opposite Arcan Bar, a one-minute walk from Arambol Beach. The courses follow the alignment-based method of founder Alpesh Patwari, who has 22+ years of teaching, 21 years teaching alignment, and is one of the most experienced alignment teachers working today. Students have come to us from 40+ countries.
Our short programs are taught in small groups. On the alignment courses, props are on the mat from the first morning: blocks, belts, bolsters, chairs and the wall ropes in the shala. You do not need to be flexible or experienced to join the alignment courses.
- [[5 Day Alignment Yoga Course|/5-day-alignment-yoga-course-goa/]] (5 days): the foundations of alignment-based yoga, one region of the body a day, two practice sessions daily. $150 course only, or $250 with food and accommodation. Goa only.
- [[9 Day Alignment Yoga Intensive|/9-day-alignment-yoga-intensive-goa/]] (9 days): the same foundations in more depth, plus standing balances, hips, twists, backbends and supported inversions on days of their own, and a home sequence built for your body. $350 course only, or $450 with food and accommodation. Goa only.
- [[5 Day Yoga & Meditation Immersion|/5-day-yoga-meditation-immersion/]] (5 days): guided meditation, Yoga Nidra, classical breathing practice and gentle restorative asana, with a certificate at the end. $250 course only, or $350 with food and accommodation. Runs in Goa and Dharamshala.
- [[50 Hour Intensive Yoga Retreat|/50-hour-intensive-yoga-retreat/]] (6 days): roughly eight guided hours a day of Hatha Alignment, Hatha Vinyasa Flow, meditation and yogic-living sessions, with accommodation and three vegetarian meals a day included. Price on request.
The with-stay price adds accommodation near the beach and vegetarian meals. None of our prices include flights, Indian visa fees or travel insurance. A 30% deposit holds your place. 2. AYM Yoga School
AYM Yoga School (yogateachertraininggoa.com) says it is in Girkarwada, Arambol, and that Arambol Beach is “a short distance from our front gate”. Its site is mainly about teacher trainings, and it also describes short retreats.
- 10-day retreat: the school says it includes morning pranayama and meditation, Hatha and Ashtanga classes, three vegetarian meals and a private room (sharing is possible), for groups of 10. It is listed for beginners and intermediate practitioners.
- 3-day retreat: two yoga sessions and one meditation session a day, three meals and accommodation, for 10 to 12 participants. Its FAQ recommends some yoga experience and a few beginner classes before you come.
- Prices: both pages list a price for May to October only: approx. $300 for 10 days and $90 for 3 days. Ask the school for its November-to-April price.
- Other lengths: its menu also links a 7-day retreat, which we did not open.
3. Divinepath Yoga School & Retreat
Divinepath (divinepathretreat.com) says its centre is in Moddlo Waddo, Arambol, about a five-minute walk from the beach, and describes its retreats as “Beginner Friendly” and run in “small groups”, without giving a number.
- 5-day retreat (4 nights): the school says it includes Hatha yoga with gentle Vinyasa, daily meditation, three vegetarian meals, beach yoga and excursions, sound healing and Yoga Nidra, one Ayurvedic massage, accommodation, and mats and props.
- Prices: approx. $300 in a dorm, $350 per person for a couple, or $450 for a private cottage, with a deposit to hold a place.
- Start dates: the page says retreats start on the 1st of every month.
4. Nath Yoga Ashram
Nath Yoga Ashram (nathyogaashram.in) gives its address as Deulwada, Arambol, and describes its teaching as multi-style, naming Hatha, Ashtanga and Kundalini. It runs teacher trainings and lists 3-day, 5-day and 7-day retreats.
- 5-day retreat: the school lists 4 nights of accommodation, sattvic meals, and yoga, meditation, Yoga Nidra and chanting sessions, for beginner, intermediate and advanced students. Its inclusions list also mentions three days of classes, so ask exactly how many teaching days you get.
- Prices: approx. $299 in a shared room or $350 in a private room for 5 days. Its home page lists the 7-day retreat at approx. $350 or $550 without saying what separates the two.
- Group size: not stated on the pages we opened.
5. Tattvam Retreat
Tattvam Retreat (tattvamonthebeach.in) is a pure vegetarian resort in Girkarwada, Arambol, and says it is a one-minute walk to the beach. Unlike the schools above, it is a resort with a yoga hall rather than a yoga school, with a swimming pool, sea-facing rooms, cottages and Ayurveda spa rooms.
- Yoga retreat packages: 1, 2, 3 or 7 nights, with breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner. The resort lists Hatha, therapeutic and restorative yoga, meditation and Yoga Nidra among the sessions.
- Prices and group size: neither is listed on its retreat page, so ask the resort directly.
Which Arambol yoga retreats are near the beach and offer small groups?
All five providers on this list say they are close to Arambol Beach, and three say something about group size. Alpesh Yoga is a one-minute walk from the beach and teaches its short courses in small groups. AYM Yoga School states 10 to 12 participants, and Divinepath says it runs small groups. Tattvam Retreat says it is a one-minute walk to the beach but does not state a group size, and Nath Yoga Ashram states neither.
Small groups matter most if you want individual correction. In an alignment class the teacher has to see each student’s feet, pelvis and shoulders, which only works when the room is small enough to reach everyone. If that is what you are after, ask any school how many students it puts in one class, not just on one retreat.
Which 5-day yoga retreats are there in Arambol?
Three providers on this list publish a 5-day retreat in Arambol. Alpesh Yoga runs two: the 5 Day Alignment Yoga Course ($150, or $250 with stay), which is technique-focused, and the 5 Day Yoga & Meditation Immersion ($250, or $350), which is quieter and centred on meditation. Divinepath’s 5-day retreat is approx. $300 to $450 depending on the room, and Nath Yoga Ashram’s is approx. $299 to $350.
When you compare 5-day retreats, look past the number of days. Ask how many guided hours there are each day, whether meals and a room are included, and whether the program teaches you something you can keep practising at home or is mainly a beach break with yoga in it. Both are fine; they are just different things.
When is the best time for a yoga retreat in Arambol?
Our Goa season runs from November to April, and from May to September we teach at our Dharamshala campus instead. Other schools set their own calendars, so check with each one. Our current batches are on Dates & Prices, and our Arambol guide covers airports, the village and where to stay.
Is a retreat the right choice, or a teacher training?
None of the short retreats on this list qualify you to teach yoga. If teaching is the goal, you need a teacher training such as our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa. If you are not sure which you need, read yoga retreat vs yoga teacher training, or see all of our Goa programs on the yoga retreats in Goa page. To hear from past students, read our reviews.
