A note before you read: we are Alpesh Yoga, so this is the school describing itself. We have tried to write the page we would want to read before booking: facts you can check, the independent reviews to check them against, and the reasons you might be better off somewhere else.
Quick answer: is Alpesh Yoga good?
Yes, if you want precise, alignment-based Hatha yoga taught in small groups. Alpesh Yoga is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (ID 6903), founded in 2014 by Alpesh Patwari, who has taught for 22+ years. It teaches at Arambol Beach, Goa from November to April and in Bhagsu, Dharamshala from May to September. The 200 hour course in Goa is $700 course only or $1,100 with food and stay. It is the wrong fit if you want fast, workout-style flow.

Is Alpesh Yoga a real, accredited yoga school?
Yes: Alpesh Yoga is listed by Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga School, and you can open the public school profile yourself. Founder Alpesh Patwari is a Yoga Alliance registered teacher in his own right (teacher profile). The school has run teacher trainings since 2014, and both shalas have verified Google listings with addresses you can walk to: Alpesh Yoga Center, Opposite Arcan Bar, Before Piya Guest House, Madhlo Waddo, Arambol Beach, North Goa 403524, and Alpesh Yoga, Upper Bhagsu, near Beetroot Cafe and Kibbutz, Bhagsu Nag, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh 176219.
Some older directory listings describe us under the name "Alpesh Yoga and Breathing", or give an out-of-date Dharamshala address in Dharamkot. Both refer to the same school; the addresses above are the current ones.

What is the teaching at Alpesh Yoga actually like?
The teaching is alignment-first: slow, exact cues, generous use of props such as blocks, belts, bolsters and chairs, and hands-on adjustments, so each pose is built safely for the body doing it. Afternoons balance that with a Hatha Vinyasa Flow practice. Teacher trainings follow one daily timetable at both campuses:

- 08:30 – 10:15 Alignment
- 10:30 – 11:30 Break
- 11:30 – 12:30 Yoga philosophy
- 12:30 – 14:00 Anatomy, teaching methodology and alignment
- 14:00 – 14:30 Lunch
- 14:30 – 16:00 Homework and rest
- 16:00 – 16:30 Karma yoga
- 16:30 – 18:00 Vinyasa flow practice
- 18:00 – 19:30 Break and free time
- 19:30 Dinner
Who should choose a different school?
An honest review has to say who we are not for. Pick another school if any of these is you:
- You want a fast, sweaty, workout-style class. Our classes hold poses and refine them; the pace is deliberate.
- You want one specific lineage, such as Ashtanga Mysore-style or Kundalini. Choose a school that specialises in it.
- You can only travel to Goa between June and September. That is the monsoon and we do not teach in Goa then; the same courses run in Dharamshala from May to September.
- You need a fully refundable deposit. Ours is transferable to any batch within 12 months, but it is not refunded. See the refund policy before you pay.
How much does Alpesh Yoga cost, and what is included?
The 22-day 200 Hour Alignment TTC in Goa is $700 for the course only, or $1,100 including a room and three vegetarian meals a day. The 11-day 100 hour course starts at $440, and the short alignment courses start at $150. Booking costs nothing: we confirm your seat within 24 hours, a 30% deposit then holds it, and the balance is paid on arrival. Every current fee is on Dates & Prices.
